Psychedelic Integration

Experiences with non-ordinary states of consciousness, including psychedelic trips, can provide states of bliss and clarity, while at times causing states of bewilderment and confusion. Whether these journeys have occurred while taking psychedelic medicine at a festival, or through breath work during a ceremony, making sense of these experiences within normal waking consciousness can be part of a transformative healing process.

Often material from the unconscious emerges during journeying through symbolic imagery or other sensory perceptions. This has been likened to an awake, dreamlike state, albeit with more intensity. Similar to dreams, the content that one experiences during a journey can offer insights regarding repressed feelings and memories, emotional blockages, and wisdom related to larger existential themes, such as death and rebirth. 

I offer support for plans to enter into expanded states of consciousness, exploring your intentions and hopes traversing in this space. I can also help plan a safe set and setting during a journey, including promoting a harm reduction approach when psychedelic medicine is being used. 

Following an experience in expanded consciousness, we’ll explore sensations, visions, and emotions that surfaced and connecting associations through both talk therapy and other forms of expression, including artistic creation. This will allow us to connect your journey to multiple areas of your life including body, mind, spirit, community, and environment. Through this work we will explore avenues that can be acted upon to connect you more to your authentic self and allow for personal evolution.
